Abstract Submission Themes
Prospective authors interested in The British Geotechnical Association’s 4th Biennial Conference are asked to consider submitting an abstract under of one the following themes:
- Design of modern earthworks
- Behaviour of engineering geo-materials
- Specification of earthworks and contract documentation
- Compaction and testing methods
- Treatment and stabilisation of earthworks
- Monitoring of earthworks and risk management
- Advances in plant and earthworks construction technology
- The impact of earthworks on society
- Case histories and the use of earthwork trials
- Building resilient and sustainable earthworks
Submission
The deadline to submit an abstract (expressions of interest in submitting a paper) for Earthworks 2025 is Monday 16th December 2024, 12:00 GMT. You need to ensure you have completed the submission process before this date. Any submission in the draft status will not be considered for review.
To submit an abstract, you need to log into the Online Submission Portal.
Before submitting an abstract, please take a moment to carefully read the full submission guidelines.
Guidelines
The word limit for each abstract is 300 words, excluding the tile, authors and affiliations.
All abstracts must be written and presented in English. The submitting author needs to select a theme for each abstract, from the dropdown list provided.
You can choose between the following presentation types:
- Oral Presentation
- Poster Presentation
- Either
Notifications to Authors
Authors will receive confirmation that the topic of the proposed paper is appropriate for the conference by Friday 31st January 2025.
If accepted, they will then be asked to submit a full paper for consideration by Monday 31st March 2025.
Please note, acceptance of an abstract submission does not guarantee subsequent acceptance of the full paper.
